Nuage France supports and encourages Paris-area organizations that foster confidence, ambition, and hope in our city’s young people through artistic creation.

Our Mission
Nuage France supports suburban young people in achieving success through artistic creation, and in becoming confident leaders and citizens active in society today and in the future.

Art making gives young people the opportunity to develop their talents, to discover themselves by expressing their feelings, and to communicate their ideas and experiences to the public through exhibitions and performance.

Nuage Paris also encourages inter-cultural contacts and collaborations so that young people can broaden their horizons while exploring and articulating their own sense of identity.

Our Modes of Support
Nuage Paris supports Paris-area youth arts organizations through three-year grants to create and sustain programming matching our mission and grantmaking criteria.

Once a year, Nuage Paris finances an international exchange program between the Cloud Foundation in Boston and Nuage in Paris. A group of Paris-area young artists who are members of organizations supported by Nuage France is selected to spend one week in Boston in the fall. During the spring semester, a group of young people from Boston travel to Paris with the support of the Cloud Foundation.

Nuage France works in partnership with the cultural centre "Le Laboratoire," giving participating young people access to this new space dedicated to research, collaboration, and innovation in the arts and sciences.

Programs eligible for support from Nuage France must:

  1. Be a not-for-profit organization that is not part of local government
  2. Focus arts programming in the Ile-de-France districts, especially neighbourhoods with limited access to similar programming.
  3. Work with teens between 12 and 20 years old.
  4. Offer art making and performance opportunities such as theater, music, dance, sculpture, video /short film, or photography.
  5. Offer innovative, high-quality instruction and mentorship that develops participants’ artistic skill, self-confidence, and leadership skills.
  6. Work in collaboration with local neighbourhoods, community leaders, and local government.
  7. Conduct in-depth evaluation and documentation of program progress and impact including follow-up with program graduates, communication with participants’ families and schools, and ongoing support and mentorship for current participants.
  8. Develop and complete high-quality arts programming resulting in opportunities for students to publicly exhibit or perform their work.
